Where to Place Your Container

SnappyBox containers are delivered with a vertical lift delivery system that gently maneuvers your container off our trucks and into the most convenient location for you. To position a SnappyBox containers, ensure that we have a clear path measuring 12 feet in width, 10 feet in height, and 25 feet in length. Please note, our delivery process may involve using the street for container delivery.

Important Details about Street Placement
If you need street delivery of a SnappyBox, it’s usually not an issue. Nonetheless, preparation is key, particularly for urban or suburban areas. Ensure no permits are necessary for street placement to avoid potential issues with local authorities or law enforcement. Some agencies are picky about what can or cannot be on the street.
Neighborhood Homeowners Associations
HOA regulations might apply to portable containers on your property. While SnappyBox delivers to numerous HOA communities smoothly, it’s wise to confirm if on-site storage containers are permitted.
Condos or Apartments
If you live in a condo or apartment, consult your building management regarding portable storage containers. Ensure there’s enough parking space for our truck to maneuver by reserving spaces for the process; most parking spots are between 9 and 10 feet wide. While your SnappyBox container easily fits within one space, the driver requires 12 feet of width to place the container. In other words, you’ll need approval from building management to use two parking spots.
Placement of the Container
While our drivers strive to fulfill your placement requests, the ultimate decision regarding final placement lies with them. Safety considerations may prevent delivery to certain locations, as well as certain obstructions. We recommend being present during delivery, especially if obstacles or challenging conditions are anticipated.
Our Containers Love Hard, Level Surfaces
We prefer to place our moving and storage containers on flat, paved surfaces. If you’re considering placing your container on an uneven or unpaved area, please consult with your SnappyBox Customer Care Team representative.
You Don’t Need To Be There for Delivery
You’re not required to be present during container delivery or pickup. Whether you’re there or not, our drivers will gladly call you beforehand. However, ensure that access is clear, without parked cars, narrow gates, or locked entrances.
Remember to Lock Your Container
After loading your container, remember to secure it with a disc padlock. Our drivers cannot pick up loaded containers without a padlock. You can buy one from us for delivery with your SnappyBox container or get it from a local hardware store. Once locked, we can collect your portable storage container for local or long-distance moves within 500 miles or store it at our facilities.
